Lincoln Southeast High School offers students the opportunity to receive the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma. The AP Capstone Diploma is granted to students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on 4 additional AP Exams of their choosing. The AP Capstone program is flexible and allows students to pursue many different paths in high school.
Students may also earn AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor and AP Scholar with Distinction recognition. Students who post scores of 3.0 or higher on three or more AP exams earn the AP Scholar Award. The AP Scholar with Honor Award is granted to students who post an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams they take and scores of 3.0 or higher on four or more tests. The AP Scholar with Distinction Award is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.50 on all AP exams and scores of 3.0 or higher on five or more tests.
Taking advanced classes prepares students for life after high school no matter what their plans entail. LSE students enrolled in the AP program receive a college-level experience that helps ensure that students are prepared to excel in college and is a great way to ensure future success in post-high school education.
LSE is proud to be one of the two schools in Lincoln to offer the AP Capstone program and has the honor of having the most LPS graduates who have earned the AP Capstone Diploma.
