Overview

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a national career student association for students in grades 6-12 who are interested in business or business education careers. Over 5800 students in more than 150 high schools in Nebraska participate in the FBLA program. Benefits of FBLA membership are leadership development, career preparation, community service, networking with business and community leaders, and challenging competitions.

 

Mission Statement 

FBLA-PBL inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.

     UNO Business Competition – Omaha – January

     Peru State College Business Competition – Peru - February

     UNL Business Competition – Lincoln – February

     State Leadership Conference – Omaha – April

     National Leadership Conference – San Antonio – June

     Junior Achievement Spark – Lincoln – September

     UNL Econ Day – Lincoln – October

     Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge – Lincoln – November

     UNL Pathway to Success – Lincoln – November

     NCEE Economics Challenge – Lincoln – December

     NCEE Finance Challenge – Lincoln – April

     Company Tours, as scheduled

     Business presentations, as scheduled

 

Commitment 

     Freshman/Sophomore - One business/technology course

     Junior - One business/technology course

     Senior - One business/technology course

     Must be passing all courses (ie. No Fs) & maintain a 2.0 GPA

     Attend 80% of meetings

     Two Wednesday’s per month

     Club Day - 7th Period
