In order to kick off the start of Kindness Week, LSE staff gathered in C hallway early on September 17th and created a "tunnel walk" experience for students with greetings, high fives, etc. It was a lot of fun for everyone!

This week is Kindness Week at LSE. As part of Kindness Week activities, students, families and friends are invited to a free showing of the movie Wonder this Friday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m. Depending on weather and field conditions, the movie will be shown outside on the LSE football field and track area or inside in the Commons. Based on the New York Times bestseller, Wonder tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time. A key theme in the movie is Choose Kind. During this week, Choose Kind T-Shirts are on sale for $5 during lunch. Students can donate money as part of a school-wide Penny Wars competition. All the money goes to Foundation for LPS Homeless Student Fund and the Foundation for Nager and Miller Syndromes. Finally, students can write their friends and teachers a Kindness Gram, which will be delivered next week.
