Please check your schedule on StudentVUE under “Class Schedule” before the first day of school as it might have changed. Students will not receive a printed copy of their schedule on the first day of school. Students should write down or print out their schedule to bring to school. You can access Synergy ParentVUE/StudentVUE on the front page of the LSE website at http://lse.lps.org. Click here for more information on schedules and schedule changes.
9th grade students must receive their photo ID in their 2nd period classroom on the first day of school. 10-12th grade students will receive their ID in class on the first day of school. Focus Program and TCA students will pick up their ID’s in Lower Commons on their first day of school.
Did you miss Knight Readiness Days?
Students who have not attended Knight Readiness Days need to plan to come to school early on the first day to complete these requirements. Here are the important points to remember.
1) A Parent Acknowledgement form must be signed by parent/guardian before a 9th grade student or New Knight can receive a Chromebook.
2) Plan to come to school early on the first day. Upperclassmen are encouraged to complete these requirements at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13th in order to have this done before their first day of school and decrease their wait time.
3) For more information, click here.
Freshmen received Chromebooks at Readiness Days. Freshmen who were unable to attend Readiness Days will get their Chromebook in the Media Center on their first day of school if they have turned in the PA form. Returning students and New Knights who are in grades 10-12 will pick up their Chromebook during the school day on August 14 after being given instructions by their teachers.
School will dismiss one hour early on August 13-15. Monday, August 13th is the first day of school for 9th graders and new Knights only. Tuesday, August 14th is the first day of school for 10-12th graders. We will be starting our regular bell schedule on Thursday, August 16. Please note that on the regular bell schedule, Period 8 will end at 3:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. For a copy of all of the bell schedules, click here.
Traffic & Drop Off
With the start of school this week, we want to remind all our parents, adults and student drivers to exercise extreme caution while driving to and from school – and driving in school zones. We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to get to school the first week of school. Finally, we ask that parents do not drop off or pick up students in the staff parking lot (south parking lot) before or after school because that parking lot will be used by Career Academy, Focus Programs and Special Education buses as the main pick up and drop off location for those students.
