College Access Grant Awarded to LSE

Last year LSE received a college access grant through the EducationQuest Foundation.  The grant provides $20,000 per year for 4 years for schools trying to increase their college going rate.  From the latest statistics, LSE has a college going rate of 78% (both 2-year and 4-year schools), and we are attempting to raise that to 88%.  Through the grant the School Counselors are organizing many activities to help in this process-college visits, college application days, college club workshops, ACT prep classes, etc.  Please watch for more details on upcoming events.

**One of the requirements for the college access grant is to develop community partnerships.  Through this partnership we hope to be able to financially sustain the cost of our activities once the grant is over. If you are interested in partnering with the LSE Counseling Center through an in-kind or cash donation please contact Kelley Winter, School Counselor 402-436-1304 or kwinter@lps.org
