Class of 2018 - End of Year Activities

Class of 2018 – End of Year Activities

Dear LSE Seniors, Parents and Guardians:

Here is information about several end-of-the-year activities for the class of 2018.  You should have received a letter in the mail with important information about our graduation ceremony, which will be held at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Click here for a copy of that letter. Click here to view information on ordering graduation photos. Click here for a graduation DVD order form.

All seniors will attend the Senior Meeting on Monday, May 14.  The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Prasch Gym.  At the meeting, seniors will “rehearse” for graduation and learn more about our expectations to have a dignified and meaningful commencement ceremony.  Seniors will also receive their graduation gowns, caps and tassels.

With the graduation ceremony set to begin at 12:00 p.m. on May 27, seniors are asked to arrive no later than 11:15 a.m. to Pinnacle Bank Arena (PBA) and then follow the signs to the area behind the stage.  Paid parking is available in the parking garages near PBA.  Free parking is available in the “festival parking lot” on the south side of Haymarket Park. Please remember for security reasons PBA has a clear bag policy. If you are planning to bring a commencement gift for your graduate, Pinnacle Bank Arena does not allow balloons of any kind and they will be confiscated at the front entrance.

Appropriate Dress -- Participating seniors must wear the traditional graduation gowns, caps and tassels. If you have not ordered the cap and gown yet, please contact www.LincolnGraduation.com ASAP. Seniors should not bring purses or other valuable items to the arena, as there is no supervised place to leave their valuable items.

Southeast High School has a proud tradition of a dignified and meaningful commencement ceremony for graduates and their families. Distracting and discourteous behavior will not be tolerated. We request that family members and students leave air horns and other noisemakers, balloons and other items which might cause a distraction at home. Seniors who do not wish to abide by these expectations should not plan to attend the ceremony, which has always been optional. If a student is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, he/she will be ticketed by the police and will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

If you have questions regarding this information, please call the main office at 402-436-1304.

Thank you.
