Dear LSE Parents/Guardians,
The Homecoming Pep Rally is Friday, September 22 in the Prasch Gym starting at 9:35 a.m. You can see performances by the Cheerleaders, the Shirettes, and the LSE Step Chain. In addition, the Homecoming Royalty will be introduced. If you plan to attend, please park to the west of the campus; police will not ticket cars during the rally where signs say 'No parking during school days from 8-4'. Enter and exit the gym from the doors on 37th Street that leads into the lower Prasch Hallway.
This year’s Homecoming Dance will be held on Friday, September 22 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in the Prasch Gym. Students will not be admitted to the dance after 10:00 p.m. Tickets for the dance will be on sale during lunch September 18 through September 22 and after school on Wednesday, September 20 and Thursday, September 21. Tickets prices are $10.00. All tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Students must pay all fines before purchasing a ticket. Remember, if you choose to pay online, fines will not be cleared until the following day. If your student’s guest does not attend Southeast, his/her guest will need to complete a dance permission form, which can be found in the Main Office or by clicking here. If you are transporting your student to and from the dance, please arrive promptly at 11:30 p.m. to pick up your student after the dance.
Our hope is that the LSE Homecoming Dance will be a very special event for our students as they interact in positive ways in a safe and supervised environment. We have had very few problems with school dances over the years.
Inappropriate dancing is prohibited at all LPS dances. When students dance in a way that is inappropriate, they will be given a warning, and if the inappropriate dancing continues, they will be removed from the dance. If a student is removed, a staff member will notify the parents/guardian about the concerns and arrangements for transportation. Other consequences could be assigned by the school or school district including restrictions from other dances and similar activities.
All other LPS rules and student responsibilities apply at school dances. The Lincoln Police Department will always have a presence at school dances. Students may be turned over to an officer if they are suspected of drinking or drugging. If a LPD ticket is issued to the student, parents will be called to transport their child home safely. The ticketed student will also be suspended from school for five days and a LPS Student Services meeting will be required.
We are looking forward to a fun and safe Homecoming Dance with our students. The Lincoln Southeast High School staff has always appreciated the support of our parents and guardians in these matters.
