Dear LSE Parents,
With the start of second semester we want to remind parents that we are asking all students who are not staying after school (to get help from teachers, attending our after school Knight House program or going immediately to an after school practice or activity) to leave the building and campus by 3:30 p.m.
Because we have more students waiting for rides after school and limited ability to provide supervision on campus for those students, we are asking students who have to wait for rides past 3:30 p.m. to go our after school program called Knight House, which is located in the Media Center. Knight House is supervised by adults and is a safe place for students to be after school. Students can work on homework or participate in activities in Knight House. Students must report to Knight House by 3:15 p.m. There is no cost for students to attend Knight House, which is open until 5:00 p.m.
On Tuesdays, which is our early release day for PLC teacher meetings, students can either go to Knight House or to the commons area, where they can work on homework until their after school activities begin.
As a reminder, for the safety of our students and staff, the south staff parking lot is limited to Staff Members, LPS vehicles and LPS school buses and vans. Due to heavy “foot traffic” by staff and students, parent and student drivers are NOT TO ENTER THIS AREA AT ANY TIME before 3:30 p.m.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our students safe!
