College Resources

The EducationQuest (www.educationquest.org) home page includes information on colleges, financial aid, and is another way to access the fastWEB scholarship search. Students and parents can use the on-line College Funding Estimator.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln (www.unl.edu) web site includes information on financial aid and scholarships at UNL.

www.collegeboard.org includes a college search, the SAT test dates and allows students to register online for the SAT. There is also information about the PROFILE financial aid forms.

Petersons Guides (www.petersons.com) has college search program and in some cases allows students to apply online or to obtain an application. It also provides information on summer and study abroad programs.

 


Career Cruising  It has information
about careers and colleges & universities programs for students.

FastWeb includes a scholarship search with a data base of over 180,000 grants and scholarships. It also has information on financial aid, the financial aid estimator, college planning, student loan information and a college search.

CollegeView (www.collegeview.com) includes a wide variety of college information.

Telephone Directories on the Web (www.contractjobs.com/tel/) provides a number of locations and formats to locate and provide phone numbers etc. of people, schools and businesses.

Merit Aid.com is a website that matches students with merit-based scholarships according to the post-secondary institution they plan to attend.

Career Builder.com assists students with learning to write resumes, research job trends, industries and companies. There are job listings and links to employers' homepages.

UNL Army ROTC (www.unl.edu/armyrotc/scholars.htm). Helpful information about 2,3 and 4 year scholarships and the process for applying for one. Also includes a link to the national ROTC page where the student/parents can find an online application.

The Common Application The Common Application is a college admissions
application that is accepted by many highly-selective schools across the
nation. It can be filled out online and printed multiple times for each
school that a student is applying to.
